The APDCAT participates in the conference “Access to public information: moving forward to transparency”Publish date: 13/05/2010
The Catalan Ombudsman is organising the
conference "Access to public information: moving forward to transparency" on 13
and 14 May. The event will address people's access to public documents and to information
that contains matters that may affect their rights.
The conference will focus on the necessary
measures that must be adopted to ensure access to and the transparency of
information. Carles San José,
head of the Inspection Department of the Catalan Data Protection Authority,
will take part with the paper entitled "Protection and access in Catalonia",
which centres on explaining the importance of the proper organisation of
information and on examining implications of the Law on the Protection of
Personal Data in the access to such information.
Participation in this conference falls within the APDCAT policy to continue working and collaborating with other institutions in Catalonia to disseminate the most significant elements of data protection legislation. If you would like further information about the conference, please see the programme (only Catalan version available). |
