The APDCAT holds the second Technological Conference for Data Protection

For the second time, the Catalan Data Protection Authority is organising the Technological Conference for Data Protection, which is held on an annual basis. On this occasion the subject to be addressed will be "The National Security Framework (ENS) and security measures provided in the Data Protection Law (LOPD)".

The day-long conference will take place on Tuesday 29 June in the CosmoCaixa Auditorium.
Esther Mitjans, director of the Catalan Data Protection Authority, will open the event together with Jordi Bosch, Secretary for Telecommunications and Information Society of the Generalitat Government of Catalonia.
Subsequently, Pedro Miquel Echenique, president of the Donostia International Physics Centre Foundation (DIPC) and full professor of condensed matter physics at the University of the Basque Country will present the opening lecture "The challenge of the small".
The head of the APDCAT Inspection Department, Carles San José, will moderate the first round table, "Solutions to adapt to the ENS and the LOPD". Such adaptation is compulsory for all companies due to their holding some kind of personal data (information about customers, suppliers and workers) which the law protects.
An interesting feature in this area will be the inclusion of a panel of specialists to discuss "What do the experts think of the ENS?" moderated by Francesc Parés, an auditor at the Authority.
Various workshops will take place in the afternoon in which real cases will be considered with a view to discussing the role of professionals in the field of information security.
In parallel, participants will be offered an advisory service on LOPD security measures, digital identity and electronic signature services, as well as on questions relating to implementation of the ENS.
